Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams, has congratulated Ceredigion’s West Wales Holiday Cottages, on reaching the top three finalists in two categories in the prestigious 2014 British Travel Awards.
West Wales Holiday Cottages has been shortlisted in the categories of Best UK Holiday Cottage/Self Catering Booking Company and Best Villa/Self Catering Holiday Booking Company. The small family firm located in Sarnau is run by father and son David and Matthew Witt, and their staff of five. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony in London, at the end of November.
Commenting, Mark Williams, said:
‘I congratulate David and Matthew Witt and all at West Wales Holiday Cottages on this fantastic achievement. To reach the finals of the British Travel Awards is a real accomplishment, particularly for such a small firm. This just goes to show the impact that our small businesses can have - demonstrated by the fact that the company is in the running for not one but two of the award categories.
‘West Wales Holiday Cottages are contributing a great deal to our local tourism sector which is so important to Ceredigion’s economy, and bring thousands of holiday makers to the area each year. This accolade is well deserved, and I wish them all the best for the finals later this month.’
