Mark Williams, Member of Parliament for Ceredigion and Deputy Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, has secured a debate on the dairy sector in Westminster on Wednesday 20th April.
Mark said “I am delighted to have secured the opportunity for a one and a half hour debate in Westminster next week. While it will provide an opportunity to raise issues affecting the dairy sector nationally and internationally, it will also provide me with an opportunity to highlight many of the challenges facing the dairy sector and our farmers locally in Ceredigion.
“On Monday, Welsh Liberal Democrats launched our rural affairs proposals at Gorswgan Farm, Llanilar, Ceredigion, and I was delighted to meet many local farmers and hear their concerns directly.
“While it is quite right that much of the rural affairs agenda is the responsibility of the National Assembly for Wales, Westminster still has key responsibilities and I look forward to the debate.”
