Gareth Lewis one year on

 One Year as Your County Councillor for Tirymynach 

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a whole year since I had the privilege of being elected as your County Councillor for Tirymynach. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your continued support and to share some of the work I’ve been involved in over the past year.

 Submitted multiple applications to have potholes filled throughout Tirymynach.

 Requested that drains be cleared on the road to South Beach, Clarach, after they became blocked with leaves and debris.

 Worked closely with our local PCSO to address parking and speeding concerns, particularly around Rhydypennau School.

 Continued discussions with Trunk Agency Wales to gather information on installing a safe crossing outside Tregerddan Estate.

 Worked with colleagues at the university to explore options for securing land to extend our much-used train station car park.

 Supported numerous local planning applications.

 Proud to serve as a governor for our fantastic local school, which continues to thrive and see growing pupil numbers.

 Rolled up my sleeves and personally cleared pathways and roadsides of overgrown hedges and weeds to keep our community looking its best.

 Kept residents informed about road closures, updates, and new rules such as the 3 black bag system.

 Collaborated with transport agencies to resolve localised issues.

 Helped organise the installation of a new bin on the path outside Dole.

 Attended meetings in Aberaeron, representing the voice and concerns of Tirymynach residents.

 Worked with the Community Council to suggest how their funding can best support local clubs and community initiatives.

 Continuing to work with the relevant team within the local authority regarding the issues with the junction from Bryncastell/Clarach and Bow Street, and the increased volume of traffic on the Clarach road.

It’s been a busy and rewarding year, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. There’s always more to do, and I’ll continue working hard to represent you and make positive changes across Tirymynach.
