Roger Barlow retired to Llandre  in 2022 after a university career at Manchester and Huddersfield, and he is still active in particle physics research. at CERN.

Before moving to Ceredigion (his wife Ann comes from West Wales) he was an active Liberal Democrat in the North West of England, and stood (unsuccessfully) for Parliament on three occasions, but his greatest success was in Tatton in 1997 when, by standing down, he enabled the independent Martin Bell to defeat the incumbent Neil (brown envelopes) Hamilton.

Today in the Ceredigion Liberal Democrats he is responsible for this website - so if you have complaints or comments, he is the person to contact, on hello@ceredigionlibdems.org.uk
